Dance is considered to be an artistic form of nonverbal communication; which can be expressed in a variety of different styles.

At the Dance Zone, we offer instruction for many such themes as Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, and Musical Theatre. We begin classes at age 3 and offer classes up to adults.

A classical style of expressive dancing based on precise, conventional steps. A theatrical representation of a story told by dance.
This performance puts great emphasis on the method and execution of movement.

using prescribed or improvised steps.

just a dancer, but also a percussive musician.

Good jazz routines express the music through
dramatic and grandiose body movements.

Lyrical dance is a fusion of ballet and jazz dance techniques.
This type of dance challenges choreographers and dancers to use
motion to interpret music and express emotion.

Hip hop dance refers to dance styles, mainly street
dance styles, primarily danced to hip hop music;
or that have evolved as a part of the hip hop culture.

Musical theatre is a form of theatre combining music, songs,
spoken dialogue and dance. The emotional content of the
piece, as well as the story itself; is communicated through
the words, music, movement and technical aspects of
the entertainment as an integrated whole.
